here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}.
I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots.
I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds].
I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot.
I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint.
Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.
miss R, can you even begin to imagine my thrill.... seeing your lady of the brown paper bag? and i adore her!!!
your words of acknowledgement, balm to my soul. for this is my hope. to open doors, to encourage leaps of faith, to share this daily practice of finding extraordinary in the ordinary. is there anything more ordinary than a brown paper bag? and did you, as do i, find yourself transported to heaven in the mere practice of "seeing" and being with this humble chance to create?
Robyn thanks for your visit and comment. I am sure your prayers are listened to - attentively. The paper bag is cute, sweet and fun. Our mindfulness comes in all forms.xxx
Something very sweet & spiritual about your paper bag painting. We used a stack of paper bags to make a sacred luminari lined walkway (with sand and candles inside) over the holidays.Who knew paper bags were spiritual? It all goes back to the sacred in the ordinary. Happy you made this connection with rebecca. She inspires me too.
I so agree with you Robyn. Rebecca's blog is marvelous. First we enjoyed the Virgins. Now it is the paperbag women. And do my eyes deceive me? She is embracing birds??!! I must go visit.
