my self seeded tomatoes continue to crop heavily. these tomatoes have sprung up from compost made from their ancestors who were slewn by the devastating hail storm last year at Inglewood.. which saw my tomato crop slashed to a messy pulp. the abundance this year is as if Mother Nature is saying sorry.. and rewarding me with abundance of fruit as a gift.
yesterday, Joe & I went for another sunset dinner to Echo Point, then decided to go for a walk..
taking a path we had never been on before...these rock faces, I had never seen.. right on my back door step.. and there are many other places to explore
the cliffs were awesome.. Joe explained things to me as we walked along.. how this was actually part of the sea bed millions of years ago and pointed out where the water lapped at the shore. it was brilliant.
I was in awe of actually being in the presence of something so ancient. being part of it...
showing just how versatile trees are. in the mountains the elements can be sometimes harsh. winds & snow.
and then
my camera went flat...
oh darn.. there were so many more things I wanted to freeze in that moment with my camera...

Isn't it wonderful to make new discoveries so close to home!
Would love to walk along those cliffs and among the sentinels. I would breathe in the vibrations of their presence and maybe if quiet enough I might learn some of their secrets.
'sigh' - wonderful views!
Sounds a perfect day, breakfast outside, more tomatoes than you know what to with ( I love tomatoes!!!)and a fantastic walk after dinner.
Me I'm huddled in the house with gails still howling outside!
So beautiful. It makes you feel so tiny, doesn't it. Nature rocks !!!!!!
Thank you for the beauty of it all, you effortlessly take us through your engagement with nature and 'the moments'.
Your images capture it perfectly,
Love Sue x
When you described sitting outside I felt as if I was right there. You are so good with words....and pictures. The photos are amazing. I would love to walk along that path and see all the beautiful cliffs and trees. How peaceful it must be and how lucky are you to have it all at your door step.
I just love your saying on the sidebar under “be kind”. oh how I wish I could remember this when people are pushing my buttons. It seems as if these are the very people that are “helping me” to learn that. The hard cases. I keep trying...enjoy your beautiful days...
Just beautiful - words and photos!
What a lovely place to live. You are such a lucky lady being blessed with all this beauty and history too..
such beauty.
oh the power of walking each step in gratitude and wonder.
thank you for sharing yours.
sending you love,

A beautiful walk Robyn amongst the stunning eucalypts.
We've had some controversy here in Sth Aust, with someone illegally cutting down eucalypts which he says "shouldn't be allowed in suburbia"(his main argument being that they drop limbs and branches).
Don't know what I'd do without our lovely gum trees here, keeping me sane in an environment where my country heart tries to keep pace with city employment.
It must be really beautiful where you live.
Enjoy!... and thanks for sharing your lovely words and photos.
its wonderful to be so aware of the ancient landscape...
I loved sharing your breakfast with you. Just what I need except it's way too cold here. You so fortunate to have so much beautiful nature so near that you go for a walk there. Stunning pictures.
You chose your new home well...
xoxo
How lovely. And how wonderful to have it on your doorstep. It will be nice to see it as the seasons change.I'm not sure if gum trees grow here.I must find out.I have a feeling they need a much kinder climate.

Stunning pictures, stunning landscapes; such presence in those rocks... The ones you copuldn't photograph were just for you two, I guess! There's enough strong beauty here to give the rest of us an idea...
What fascinating photos
I could eat a brekkie like that right now. YUM! Beautiful photos, Robyn!
All of us who come here to share your eloquent point of view are blessed. Thank you!
