I am off on an adventure on Saturday - riding down with Joe to Victoria to see my son, travel a little around that state and then on to a bike rally.. staying in some gorgeous old homes - visiting as many op shops as i can find..
celebrating Ash Wednesday at a church in a town called Ararat. & doing part of my Lenten journey while I am away.. a brilliant Carbon fast some of which I can share here.. the Catholic Church has finally come to a place where I feel as if it understands me & what I crave for:
“Before it is too late, it is necessary to make courageous decisions that reflect knowing how to re-create a strong alliance between man and the earth...A decisive 'yes' to the protection of creation is necessary and a firm commitment to reverse those tendencies that run the risk of bringing about situations of unstoppable degradation.” Pope Benedict XVI speaking in Italy, September 2007
not quite sure if I will be able to access internet to blog... but I am on facebook - so will be updating there via the iPhone..

Oh Robyn, This makes such lovely reading first thing in a morning here in the UK, I can feel your spirits rising for your journey, also your connection to the seasonal changes. Personally autumn is my favourite time of year, I love the settling back, the lengthening shadows.
Have a wonderful time and I will try and connect with facebook, not on it often, but for you!
Sue x
Have a good trip. The chickens are looking happy, btw...
Safe journeys and have fun!
just as autumn sneaks into your landscape the subtle yet undeniable burst of spring is shaking up this sleepy long winter.
you will be gathering, we will be preparing to plant.
travel safely and with a full grateful heart. i look forward to your stories and pictures when you return.
i have never ventured out on facebook. so please let me know when you are home and we can catch up!

Have a fun trip! I'll have to wait for your return as I am not on Facebook....long story but I just don't like it and don't feel comfortable there.
And of course, may the whole gang of Harley Davidson angels in white leathers go with you on your trip!
have a wonderful time and lots of fun..oh to have the wind in your face and the open road in front of you! wonderful!
Have a wonderful trip and I know what you mean about 'feeling' different seasons approaching.
Just a thought, who looks after your lovely chooks while you are gone?
Have a great time Robyn, finding where it's at in Ararat. I love those towns - take lots of pics. Joe probably has more patience with the bric-a-brac shops and op shops than my husband. It's one of the joys of country trips for me. Meanwhile my husband rolls his eyes and pleads for mercy.
Wonderful that you have started to enjoy the tint of light and shadows in Autumn.I love that too. Have fun on your adventures in Victoria.
Miss you
